I've been taking photos since my father gave me a box Brownie as a child. It wasn't until I started University that I got more serious about it. Doing an architecture course (which I didn't finish), meant going around taking architectural shots of buildings and photographing projects and conventions that I attended. I even bought an enlarger and processed black-and-white photos in my parent's laundry. Then, I got into colour, developing colour slides using the Cibachrome system. After getting married, my wife and I spent nine months travelling around Europe, and my love of photography grew. Most of my travels have been since 2005 after our children got older, which afforded us more opportunities to take off overseas again.
